How to wash diabetic foot

Today Medi-Rehatek will introduce how to properly wash feet for patients with risk factors of diabetic foot?

(1)The proper water temperature

The water temperature is below than equal to 40 ℃, should not be too cold or too hot. Before washing feet,you should test the water temperature with hand. If patients are not sensitive to water temperature who should ask the family member to do that, if you have a thermometer,that is the best to use a thermometer.





(2)The proper washing time

Washing time should not be too long,about 10 to 15 minutes is appropriate.


(3)A soft dry towel

After washing, you should dry with a soft dry towel (especially the gaps between the two toes).


(4)Skin lubrication

In order to maintain the foot skin lubrication, you prevent the occurrence of chapped skin,smear appropriate amount of body lotion.
