How to exercise for diabetic foot patients

Today Medi-Rehatek will introduce how to exercise for diabetic foot patients.

High-risk groups of diabetic foot should actively participate in appropriate exercise,which can improve blood circulation on diabetic foot , reduce the incidence of diabetic foot ulcers.

(1)The appropriate exercise

 The "light - moderate strength" of aerobic exercise, such as walking, jogging, yoga, swimming, playing Chinese shadow boxing, aerobics, climbing stairs.




(2)Exercise time:

Starting from 10 minutes, and patients gradually extend the time from 30 to 40 minutes.


(3)Exercise frequency:

At least 5 times a week.


(4)Exercise preparation:

Before each exercise,patients should have 5 to 10 minutes of preparatory activities (body stretch).After each activities,patients should be 5 to 10 minutes of slow walking.The movement will be slowly finished.


(5)Monitor blood sugar

Patient should monitor blood  sugar before and after exercise.Patients should carry candy in order to avoid hypoglycemia during exercise
