Why diabetic foot is difficult to heal

Today Medi-Rehatek will discuss why diabetic foot is difficult to heal.

(1) Due to long-term chronic damage, Diabetic patients will have peripheral vascular occlusion and poor neurotrophy.

(2) The majority of patients feelings are weakened or disappeared, often the wound is difficult to detect, once the doctor find out that the situation has been more serious, such as local necrosis, severe infections etc..

(3) The foot is the most distal body with poor blood transport capacity.

Therefore, diabetic foot patients once have foot ulceration, wound healing is more difficult.

What are the symptoms of intermittent claudication in diabetic foot patients?

Diabetic foot patients will feel the pain on the foot and not stand the pain after walking a very short distance. After having a rest, patients are able to ease and can continue to walk. But patients continue to walk again, pain will exist again, then stop and rest. So stop-and-go, patients can not walk as long as normal people walk ,that is known as intermittent claudication.
